Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Cake Quarter. These Terms and Conditions apply to the creation and purchase of custom-made cakes ordered through our official communication channels:

By placing an order with Cake Quarter, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Introduction
Cake Quarter is a UK-based provider of bespoke, made-to-order cakes. All cakes are individually handcrafted based on customer specifications provided via email or WhatsApp.

2. How Orders Are Placed
2.1 Communication Channels
Orders are accepted only through:

We do not process orders via phone calls, social media, or through this website.
2.2 Order Process
To place an order, customers must provide:
• Cake theme, design details, size, flavours
• Required date
• Full delivery address and time required
• Any allergies or dietary notes
2.3 Order Confirmation
An order is not confirmed until:
• We have provided a written price quote
• You have accepted the quote in writing
• A non-refundable deposit or full payment (where applicable) has been paid
We reserve the right to decline any order.

3. Deposits, Payments & Pricing
3.1 Deposits
All custom cake orders booked in advance require a non-refundable deposit of £100 to secure your booking date. This includes both wedding and celebration cakes.
For all celebration cakes booked with less than two (2) months notice, full payment is required at the time of booking.
3.2 Final Payment
The remaining balance;
For wedding cake must be paid no later than 2 months before the delivery date.
For celebrations cakes no later than 1 months before the delivery date.
Orders not paid in full by this time may be cancelled without refund of the deposit.
3.3 Pricing
Prices are quoted individually for each cake based on design complexity, size, ingredients, and time required. All prices are in GBP (£).

4. Changes to Orders
4.1 Design Changes
Minor changes may be accommodated if requested no later than 2 month before the due date for weddings cakes, and no later than 2 weeks before the due date for celebration cakes
Major changes may require a new quote or may not be possible.
4.2 Last-Minute Changes
Requests made within the final preparation period cannot be guaranteed.

5. Cancellations & Refunds
5.1 Customer Cancellations
• Deposits are non-refundable.
• If you cancel after the final payment has been made, no refunds will be issued for work already completed or materials purchased.
• Refunds are at our discretion depending on the stage of production.
5.2 Cancellations by Cake Quarter
In the rare event we must cancel due to illness, emergencies, or circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full refund, including your deposit. We are not liable for any indirect losses or costs (e.g., event disruptions).

6. Delivery & Collection
6.1 Delivery
Delivery is available within specified UK areas for an additional fee. Delivery times are estimates.
We will photograph the cake upon delivery to confirm its condition.
6.2 Liability After Handover
Once delivered , Cake Quarter is not responsible for:
• Damage caused by incorrect handling or transport
• Improper storage (e.g., refrigeration issues, heat exposure)
• Third-party couriers arranged by the customer

7. Allergies & Dietary Requirements
7.1 Allergen Information
Although we take care when preparing cakes, our kitchen may contain traces of nuts, gluten, eggs, dairy, and other allergens.
7.2 Customer Responsibility
Customers must inform us of any allergies in writing during the ordering process. We cannot guarantee completely allergen-free products.
7.3 Liability
Cake Quarter is not liable for allergic reactions where allergens were not disclosed or where cross-contamination is possible.

8. Design & Creative Interpretation
Because cakes are handmade, slight variations in colour, shape, and decoration may occur. By ordering from Cake Quarter, you accept reasonable artistic discretion.

9. Photographs & Marketing
We reserve the right to photograph all cakes we produce and use these images on our website, social media, and marketing materials unless you explicitly request otherwise at the time of ordering.

10. Intellectual Property
All designs, photos, logos, and written content provided by Cake Quarter remain our intellectual property.
You may not copy or reproduce our designs without permission.

11. Limitation of Liability (UK Consumer Rights Act Compliant)
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Cake Quarter is not liable for:
• Losses caused by customer mishandling or storage
• Indirect or consequential losses (e.g., event costs, emotional distress)
• Delays caused by events beyond our control
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for your cake.

12. Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR)
We collect and store customer information solely to process orders and communicate with you, in accordance with UK GDPR.
We do not share your details with third parties except where legally required.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled in UK courts.
